August 25, 2012 - I finished Shaklee180 on June 1st after reaching my 15 pound goal.  I then went on a 28 day detox diet in July.  I am now at my ideal weight of 126.  My waist is 28 inches, my hips are 35 inches, my thighs are 18 inches and my bust is 31.5.  I have lost 16 inches in total.  I fit into everything in my closet, and I am thrilled.  Thanks to Shaklee180 I am where I was 10 years ago.  Shaklee180 transforms!!!!!

My Shaklee180 Journey starting January 3rd, 2012.

I listened to Laura Evan's Shaklee180 journey on January 2nd.  She had lost 31 pounds and gone from a size 8-10 to a size 2.  I was inspired by her practical tips and knew I could do this with Shaklee180.

Stepped on the scale on January 3rd and recorded 146 pounds.  I know I should be about 131 pounds to really be a healthy weight although I am more muscular than I have ever been and probably would be happy at 135.  My waist is 32.5 inches, my hips 39.5 inches and my thighs 21 inches.

My Shaklee180 Plan is:  2 Shaklee180 Smoothies or 1 Shaklee180 Smoothie and 1 Shaklee180 bar a day. 2 Shaklee180 Energy teas, 1 Shaklee180 Snack Bar, and 1 sensible meal and sensible snacks.  I also commit to buring 300 calories 5 times a week. According to the free analysis on cinchplan.com, I can have 1492 calories a day and following the plan I will be 10 pounds healthier by February 26th.  I will report my progress each Tuesday morning.


Tuesday morning, January 10th  -  One week on Shaklee180

Stepped on the scale and measured today.  I am starting to wake up earlier in the morning and also feel like I have more energy.  That is one of the side benefits of Shaklee180. In the past week, I have followed the plan exercising 5 days a week and burning 300 calories each time.  I started tracking my calories at myfitnesspal.com and have stayed between 1300 and 1400 calories. I really had no idea of the caloric contents of some foods.  It's enlightening. I have had a Shaklee180 Smoothie or Meal Bar twice a day and my vitamins. I have had a Shaklee180 snack bar each day and 2 Shaklee180 teas. My biggest challenge is eating at night in front of the TV.  I now have a cup of herbal tea instead.  I love the Tazo teas, so that satisfies me.  Once a week I will allow myself to use some of my calories for popcorn.

How did I do?    Lost 1.5 pounds and 1/2 inch on my waist in week 1.


Tuesday morning, January 17th  -  Two weeks on Shaklee180

I had a great week on Shaklee180. My energy level is high and I am sleeping better than I have in a while.  I stayed on the Shaklee180 plan exercising 5 days burning 300 calories each time.  If I went to the health club, I set the machine to calories rather than a specific amount of time.  I have an exercycle at home, so when I used that machine I kept peddling until I hit 300 calories.  I had a luncheon last Tuesday for the chamber.  I ate the salad, half the chicken, all  the vegetables and had one bite of the pasta.  I left over half the lunch on the plate which felt wasteful.  I wish restaurants would offer half plates. While everyone had dessert, I had a Shaklee180 snack bar.  I followed the same plan over the conference weekend.  To be honest, I was not tempted by desserts which is a miracle.  Most days I had 2 Shaklee180 shakes, but at the conference I had a meal bar with a veggie salad for lunch.  I filled up a big pitcher with water each morning and kept drinking throughout the day.  I managed to finish the pitcher each day.

How did I do?    Lost 1 pound and 1/2 inch on my hips in week 2.

Total Pounds and Inches Lost after week 2:   2 1/2 pounds, 1 inch

This week's challenges:   I have a luncheons on Thursday and Friday.  I will follow the same plan as last week and have my second Shaklee180 meal in the evening. I have a party on Saturday evening.  I will cut up veggies and have them in my purse in case there is nothing that will work for me.  I will save my Shaklee180 snack bar for the evening and also check the calories in club soda. I am fortunate that my usual drink is club soda.  I also may be doing some out of town visiting next Sunday and Monday.  I will be eating in someone's home, so I will be able to easily continue my routine.  They also have a treadmill.  My goal is to lose another pound and another 1/2 inch.


Tuesday morning, January 24th  -  Three weeks on Shaklee180

I had a another great week on Cinch. My biggest challenge of the week was a party on Saturday night.   I had a big salad for lunch with chicken in it and then had a Blueberry Cinch bar before going to the party.  I told myself that I could pass up all the appetizers unless they were veggies or fruits.  I went with that attitude and passed everything up.  Shaklee180 has really stabilized my blood sugar, so I really wasn't hungry and didn't really want the things I used to pile on my plate.  I am really focused on my 15 pound goal. 

How did I do?    Lost 2 pounds and 1/2 inch on my hips and 1/2 inch in my waist in week 3.  That makes 4 1/2 pounds and 2 inches lost.  My goal is now to see the scale recording below 140!  I see it coming.  My waist is really shrinking.  I can feel and see the difference.  Thank you Shaklee180!


Tuesday morning, January 31st  -  Four weeks on Shaklee180

Week 4 on Cinch went well.  I Yesterday I knew I was meeting one of our team at Panera so I went on the app, searched Panera and figured out what I was going to have for lunch.  I had the Asian Sesame Salad without the crunchies on top which was 310 calories.  That was my main meal for the day.  So in the evening I had a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip bar, a loaded veggie salad and an apple.  The veggie salad had romaine lettuce, spinach, red pepper, yellow pepper, celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, artichoke hearts, beets, olives and green onions. I have an assortment of flavored balsamic vinegars which I received as a Christmas gift.  I love the flavors and they are very low in calories.

I continue to burn 300 calories 5 days a week and am drinking a pitcher of water a day.  The best part is I can feel the weight loss in my clothes and am feeling better and more energetic than I have in a while.


How did I do?    Lost 1 1/2 pounds and 1/2 inch in week 4.  I exceeded my goal of 1 pound.

That makes 6 pounds and 2 1/2 inches lost!!!  I am at 140.  Next week I will roll into the 130's.  It's been a while, and I will be happy to see them again.

 Tuesday morning, February 7th  -  Five weeks on Shaklee180

 Week 5 on Shaklee180 was challenging, but I still love the program and am committed to staying on it until I reach my goal. On Shaklee180, we are told to always measure, because some weeks you will lose inches and not weight.  That's what happened to me this week.  I lost 1 1/2 inches.  I have now lost 2 inches in my waist and 1 1/2 in my hips.  I am now sliding into a pair of jeans that I avoided wearing.  I still have some flab in my waist section, but that will be coming off soon.

The challenges for the week were eating out for lunch multiple times and having a neighborhood progressive dinner on Saturday night.  I had a Cinch snack bar before going to the Appetizer house and I took a bottle of water with me.  I had veggies for my appetizer.  The dinner probably had more calories than I normally eat, but I had some of everything and enjoyed it.  For dessert I took a fruit bowl knowing I could eat that and not be tempted by everything else.  I was tempted, but I only had the fruit.  I know that I am one of those people who does best avoiding dessert. 

I managed to exercise 5 days and burn 300 calories.

How did I do?    I lost  1 1/2 inches in week 5.  My weight stayed the same.

 Tuesday morning, February 14th  -  Six weeks on Shaklee180

Week 6 on Shaklee180 went well.   I managed to get 5 exercise sessions in with 300 calories each.  I haven't had to put everything into myfitnesspal, because I know now what constitutes 1300 calories.  My drink of choice is either water or club soda if everyone else is drinking wine or mixed drinks.  That is not been difficult for me, because I stopped soft drinks years ago and don't drink wine often.  Desserts are my biggest temptation, and I am managing that by not letting them be put in front of me if I am somewhere where it is included in the meal.  Friday night was our annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner Dance at a hotel.  Appetizers and cocktails are served for an hour before dinner.  I ate a Cinch Snack Bar 15 minutes before arriving and that kept me from being hungry.  I sipped on Club Soda with a lime. At the dinner I had the salad and then focused on the meat and vegetables.  I did have a few spoonfuls of the garlic mashed potatoes.  I asked for tea and asked them to hold the dessert. I didn't feel deprived and didn't overeat.

I am glad I am measuring inches, because this week my weight again stayed the same.  The inch loss, however, was significant - 1 1/2 inches - and that is what Shaklee180 is famous for.  

My challenge in the coming week is that we will have a bathroom in process of renovation which will involve a lot of extra stress and decision making.  If I cannot get to the YMCA, I will use the exercycle in the basement and track my calories.

I have found the key for me is making sure I have the 2 Cinch teas and one snack bar along with the meal replacements.  I am still doing my shake for breakfast with a banana.  I either have a cinch meal bar for lunch or dinner with a big veggie salad.  I sometimes will add blueberries or apples to my salad.

How did I do?    I lost  1 1/2 inches in week 6.  My weight stayed the same.  My inch loss is 2.5 inches from my waist, 2.0 inches from my hips and 1 inch from my thighs.  Yea Shaklee180!
